There is a further probate entry for William Lawrence Banks in 1911 upload_2017-9-5_9-0-25.png

Annie Harriett MeKellar Banks is the wife of William's son William Davies Morris Banks.

Quite why I have no idea.

There is a death reg for Elizabeth Maria Banks in Kensington age 65
    (June qtr -1a 80)
I originally discounted this one but I have since found a burial in Anglesey -
Coedana her address noted as 13 Chapel Road, London
Elizabeth Maria Banks 24/5/1894 age 65

So perhaps William Laurence's will was not sorted before she died thus the other probate entry in 1911

I would like to pass on a message from the friend who I have been researching this family for. I told her that the members of this forum helped a great deal with the research.

This was posted on a link to Top Dog on facebook.

I didn't know how to thank Terry for all that he has done doing my mothers family tree, he has done a fantastic job in just one week !!!! I now know my family history back to 1790, my dad who is 84 is absolutely over the moon with this, as is my brother !!! I'm not a member of this site but I'm leaving this on the comments so that hopefully he will see !!! THANKYOU

So she sends a huge thank you to you all for your help, as do I.

I printed out 3 copies for her so that her dad and brother could have a copy. I gave it to her in the pub on Friday night, we sat there till quite late going through it. Suffice to say my head was none to good yesterday morning :D

It so was Ann, my friend was over the moon :)

She was telling another bloke in the pub, after I left, looks like there may be some more research in the future :)

I aught to start charging, but nah, it wouldn't be a hobby then.

That's how my 'hobby' has grown over the past few months Terry, first a friend, then another friend, then a neighbour........but I love it and find it difficult to try and persuade some people that I really don't want anything for doing it.

Hi bean and welcome to the forum C|:-)

I was researching this family for a friend of mine. Actually I couldn't remember who I had researched it for until I read through it and found the 'Banks Davies' reference.

My friend is a direct descendant too.

    From her grandparents back

    Hugh Philip 1914 - 1965 + Greta Rosaline Penfield
    Philip Theodore 1886 - 1953 + Helen Mary Wiatt
Hugh Powel 1853 - 1920 + Mary Antoinette Perry Marsh
    James 1820 - 1883 + Frances Helen Young
    Richard 1791 - 1871 + Esther Davies
    Lawrence Banks + Ann Sladden

Hello. I am researching the family of Helen Mary Wiatt. Did she marry Philip Banks or Philip Banks-Davies? When did the name change from Davies to Banks-Davies? Thank you.

Hi @Wiatt take a look at post #32 of this thread for when the name changed.

I don't have the information at hand at the moment as I'm on holiday. Will be back in about 2 weeks.
