Knows where to find the answers!
From the images on Ancestry - Bodicote 1563 -1752

John Clifton married Elizabeth Jordan December 10th at ? 1732

GENUKI comes up with Hornton or Holton if the first letter is an H

Can anyone suggest anywhere it might be?

Bodicote is just to the south of Banbury and Horton is a few miles to the north-west. It could also be Hempton which is due south of Bodicote. I'm sure it reads Helmton in the image

What about Helmdon in Northants? It's only 12 miles away.

Interestingly Ancestry Northamptonshire records has a baptism for an Elizabeth Jordan in Helmdon 7th October 1705. Promising?.....

It could well be Flook - if I can tie this couple to a George baptised 1750 and he to 'my' George buried in 1820 :headbang: - been looking forever, with countless others, for a birth for my man reputedly age 66 when he was buried.
