Born where?

Sis

Rootles out resources!
Underneath the date 1790 it says where Elizabeth was born, can anyone help with the word above Inns Court please. Also do you think it's Inn Court or Inns Court?

Hi,
Perhaps I am wrong, but I don't think that a place should be inserted at this place in the document but it should be part of the date i.e. the day.
If all of the document were scanned it might make it clearer - is the another entry attached to this one for a different person?

John

It looks to me like a kind of pro forma baptism certificate, with the expectation that all necessary information can be fitted into the gaps between the printed words.

In this case, however, extra information about the place of birth has been provided by writing "NB Born in Furnivals Inn Court Holborn" in the left hand margin.

That’s how I read it too but I haven’t access to the whole document, just what appears here. ;) It didn’t look right but Arthur has explained it.

Thank you John and Arthur. It's from the Barbican Chapel, St Giles, Cripplegate (Independent) and at the top of each page it has printed Register of Births and Baptisms.
