Rogers/Boyd castlegore

Do you have any more specifics? Certain family members and/or dates?
Welcome to the forums. :)
Hi thanks for the reply, I have a copy of my GG grandparents john rogers and Agnes Boyd's wedding certificate at Connor church ballymena, Residence at time of marriage Castlegore, I have been unable to find any records of where they might have been born, it's a possibility my gg grandfather was originally from Greenock Scotland, thanks

Sorry they were married 8th January 1872

Okay, great! I saw Boyd records, but they were across many years. I'm not much help in Ireland, but a focused search target has a better chance that someone here will be able to find it... if it can be found.

Off to commence to look. :)

What is John's father's name on the marriage certificate?

Hi Emma and welcome to the Forum.

Can you give us any more information from their wedding certificate please, for example their fathers' names and occupation. Have you managed to trace them after their marriage in 1872, in subsequent census records or baptismal records for any children they may have had. Griffiths Valuation records in 1862 for Connor, Antrim, show 3 male BOYDs living at Castlegore, James BOYD senior & junior plus a Daniel BOYD, all occupying property owned by Viscount Massereene & Ferrard. Apart from that, I am not having an awful lot of luck in finding any likely records for either of them so far.

Janet

Family Search has 3 birth registrations that I can see so far for John Rogers and Agnes Boyd.
James Rogers 25/9/1879 Connor Antrim
Female Rogers 6/2/1881 Connor Antrim
Female RoDgers 13/4/1872 Connor Antrim

And this strange registration to Agnes Boyd Rogers and JAMES Rogers of Robert Rogers 22/4/1873 Larne, County Antrim
There is also an Agnes Boyd Rogers in the 1911 census father Thomas Rogers who is 41 and born at Carrickfergus Antrim. Agnes is 3 years old and born in Belfast. Perhaps the granddaughter of John and Agnes Boyd.
!911 census Carrickfergus Joyment is Agnes Rodgers Head of family with son James age 40, she is widowed and a Presbyterian age 73 and born County Antrim

The father Thomas on this census is a Presbyterian Minister. Daughter Agnes Boyd Rodgers leads me to believe that this is the correct family. There is also a son John Stevenson Rodgers
Is the surname Stevenson significant?

IMG_3183.PNG IMG_3203.JPG Thankyou all for replying, my gg grandparents fathers names were James rogers and Daniel Boyd, my gg grandmother Agnes Boyd died 19/12/1890 in Medway street Belfast, john later remarried a Mary rogers.

A picture of john rogers and his father James rogers, I have found records of john living in greenock Scotland and working in a sugar factory, i also found records of some of johns children being born in Scotland and some Antrim NI, it seems they travelled back and forth possibly for work or had family living in Scotland, john and his second wife Mary rogers are buried together in dundonald cemetery, I have tried with no luck past 2 years to find out where Agnes was buried, I paid for an online search for birth records of john in Connor Antrim with no results, my 90 year old has always thought john was originally from Scotland
