I have a request which I hope you can assist with, I have been helping my son and his partner put the tree together, great success with his partners tree apart from her grandfather Michael (Mick) Martyn

Michael (Mick) Martyn married Joan Curley (abt 1950)
They had children in 1954, 1956, 1959, 1961, and 1966.

I cannot find anything on Michael (Mick) Martyn, his daughter has extensive info on her mother's side of the family but nothing about her father

Any help / info or clues would be appreciated

They married in the September quarter of 1952 in Loughrea Registration District, volume 4, page 137. A copy of the certificate should give you details of their respective fathers, which would help in your search.

Hi, Thanks that's them, apart from their daughter, I have information to him having brothers and sisters, Eileen, Margaret, May, Patrick and Thomas, but they are like the scarlett pimpernel family, the rest of there history is available just the Martyn family has hit the wall

There are a couple of possible births for Michael:

Michael J T MARTYN: September quarter 1925, Loughrea District, volume 4, page 243

Michael Joseph MARTYN: December quarter 1927, Gort Registration District, volume 4, page 195. (Gort is about 15 miles from Loughrea.)

However, that marriage certificate would be the first thing to get as it should provide an age for Michael plus other knock-out factors such as his father's name.
