What on Earth is a Deep (Handwriting help needed)?

I have Mary Gifford living in Bridge Street Bath in 1841 and her occupation looks like Deep. Hopefiully someone will tell me what it really says.:D I have attached a snip for info but also the census ref as it might give more insight. The residents of this street look wonderful, all sorts of lovely occupations.

I'm afraid it's not particularly profound - Dress maker.

First 's' is a long 's'; 'm' is standard abbreviation for 'maker'.
Honestly Arthur, there is absolutely no hope for me whatsoever. Of course it is. Thank you.
