According to Ancestry's Essex Parish Register Index the baptism is of William Petter baptised 21 Feb 1626 at Kelvedon Hatch, the father is named as Rose.
It's the third from last of the 1626 entries on the second page.
I have looked at the writer's e and o and unfortunately some look the same, to me anyway.
Checked out the word filius where I could read it, initially I thought it was just a sloppy way the writer finished off his 'a', however looking at one or two female entries it does seem as the he finished off his 'a' fully. I can't image anyone would name a guy Rose, surely?
