Trying to decipher Edward Whelan death cert, several changes were made to the original entry after the registrar received the coroners certificate. I have attached 3 images 1 shows the full entry and the other two the columns that were changed but enlarged.

The left hand column has the same sentence twice

"???? error corrected by me 17.5.50 W Grimley Asst Reg"

The place place of death is "44 L Buckingham St, Dublin" will help with the other changes as the D is slightly unusual.

    Cause of death

"Atheroma of coronary arteria ????? occlusion ???? & respiratory failure on coroners certificate dated 17 May 1950"

    Informant

"certificate received from ?? ?? ?? ???? coroner for the city of Dublin, post mortem held 16 may 19??"

I’m not sure what the errors are except they are numbered 13 and 14.
As to the other entries -
“Atheroma of coronary arteries, coronary occlusion, cardiac & respiratory failure on coroners certificate dated 17 May 1950"
“certificate received from Dr D A MacErlean coroner for the city of Dublin, post mortem held 16 May 1950”

short search of online maps gives an indication of that but the places are close enough to be intriguing to need further checks

Is it possible to find the burial of Edward Whelan who died in January. That might sort something out re the death date and his identity.
Do you have a Christopher Whelan as mentioned but crossed out on the registration certificate.?
