Confused Again

I seem to live in a permanent state of confusion. Now I dont even know if I am asking this question in the right forum!

The question is why am I not getting any notifications? My example is that I noticed Murfomurf replied to my post(Your Thoughts Please) on Friday 5th Dec. I have checked in my junk box and messages do very occasionally go in there, nothing this time.
I have no doubt it is something I am doing but what.

I just dont want to miss anything.

I have checked the back end and all the right boxes are ticked so I have no idea as to why you are not receiving notifications. :(

I wonder if @oman would be able to help.....

Meanwhile, I have moved the post over to the "Finding your way" section. :)

What I have realised is that just because my memory fails sometimes, I mustn't give up I can still work things out and even learn new things. I just have to do it differently and more slowly and be able to apologise or explain. The apology necessary if I let people down.
Embrace those golden years. I can still bake a good cake, yesterdays was a mince pie pastry, so simple.

Are you able to review your current notification preferences from this link?:

Specifically, the boxes that have 'and receive email notifications'?

For example, these might have changed if you opted out in the past or adjusted things.

Let us know how you go. The other thing worth noting is - let's say you have your thread:

"Your Thoughts Please" which you posted.

Someone replies to it, and you would get an email alert.

You likely won't get alerts for additional replies until you go in and view the most recent posts in that thread. The reason for this is they try to reduce the amount of email alerts coming through.

Overall, as far as I can tell things should be in order with email alerts. Can do some further digging if still not working after that. :)

I have checked my notifications and nothing has changed there and I have never touched that .
The interesting thing is that it is only an occasional reply that does this. It probably happens a couple of times a year. I do get most emails so perhaps I just shouldn't worry and just double check myself. I will let you know if it happens again.
