Cause of death

Sis

Rootles out resources!
Can anyone please tell me what this cause of death is? The death was in 1846 in London, if that helps. I think it says Fleus, but can't find out what that might be.

Ileus

Ileus is a temporary lack of the normal muscle contractions of the intestines. Abdominal surgery and medications that interfere with the intestine's movements are common causes. Bloating, vomiting, constipation, cramps, and loss of appetite occur.

Ileus tends to be post-op, doesn't it? When the gut stops working normally. I went through it with one of my horses and also myself. Abdominal surgery would have been a lot more risky back then.

Can be due also to injury. :reading:
