Ketchems Inn !

I have a lady who married in 1923, her profession and address at the time of marriage was domestic servant at Ketchems (or Ketchem) Inn, Guilsfield Road, Welshpool, Montgomeryshire.

In the 1921 census it is named Kitchens Inn, the lady in question isn't there in 1921.

I've tried searching for information on Ketchems Inn but have come up empty handed.

Did the Inn change its name or close?

Toms Wills has mention of "Evans of Ketchums Inn Montgomeryshire' and that is dated 1944.

Okay, doing a bit of lateral thinking here....

What if it wasn't an Inn at all but just the name of a house? looking at the 1921 census, those resident show no indication of it being a pub/inn.

I did, however, stumble across a Catchems in Guilsfield Road - changed over time, perhaps?

It sold in November 2019 for megabucks and, looking at the details on the website, certainly looks like it might be the place.

Looking at a picture of the place on Street View, it is larger than it first looks, so could well have been a pub in a previous life - but under a different name perhaps?

Yes, that was the only thing I could find, different surname to the people living there in 1921.
