I know there’s some excellent genealogists in this forum.

The births of both Alexandrina and Wilma (full name Williamina M) are on the Scotlands People website. Sadly, no mother's maiden name is showing but, if you register and buy some credits, it should cost you 6 credits to view the certificate (£1.50)

I had a few spare credits that were soon to expire, so I took a peek. ;)

Alexandrina was born on 4th July at 6:50am at Glasgow Maternity Hospital to Alexander MULHERN, a Piano Tuner, living at 97 Taylor Street, Glasgow and Margaret, whose maiden name was WHITE.

The lovely thing about Scottish birth certificates is that it gives details of the parents' marriage. In this case, Alexander and Margaret had married on 29th November 1919 in Glasgow.

If you have a rummage on the Scotlands People website, it should help to take you back further - and never believe everything that you see on Ancestry - just use it as a guide and do your own research. :D

Ooh! The marriage is also on FindMyPast, which you should be able to access in your local library for free. It took place at the Roman Catholic Church in the parish of St Charles Borromeo, North Kelvinside.

Alexander's father was also named as Alexander and Margaret's as William. By the way, the information is in Latin...

Can you see Margaret whites DOB
I am not saying that it is her, but this could be a good contender. Reasoning being that Margaret wed in Kelvinside and her father was William. It would make her about 35 in 1919:

1901 census:
William White, 42, Lithographer
Agnes (wife), 40
Margaret, 17, Buttonhole Machinist
Plus 7 more children of William and Agnes - all living at 272 New City Road, Kelvin and all down as having been born in Glasgow.

No - all wrong information.
It says that her father was James White. Her father was William. Also, she was born in 1898, which would make her 22 when the Baltic sailed in 1920. This Margaret is aged 30.
And.... she was married in 1919. ;)
