As the birth in 1942 gives the mother's maiden name of Darbon, it makes me wonder if it was a completely different Darbon mother to Frances. Only the birth certificate of the child in question will answer that.

He married Doris M Taylor in the North Walsham registration district.

However, Taylor might not be her maiden name as she too might have been wed before.
