Any Ideas?

I'm doing some research for a friend and this is just a query out of curiosity, I don't need any information on the family (Stevens of Northfield Worcestershire) but I would love to know if anyone can identify the POB of this couple given in the 1851 census (HO107/2049/17/26). My knowledge of Worcestershire is practically zero and I can't find any help on-line. It looks like Flivered :oops: and that's what other transcriptions give. The enumerator also spelt 'Stevens' as 'Steevens', so his spelling isn't to be relied on :nailbiting: As I say, it's not really important, I'm just curious .......

I wonder if it is supposed to end with ‘head’ The only one I have found is Lye Head but it’s not that even with an accent.

To be honest, it could be anything Sue, I was just hoping there might be someone around who had a knowledge of the area around Northfield (which now appears to be a suburb of Birmingham) and might have an idea. Thanks for trying :)

The best I can come up with is Flyford with an accent perhaps
Absolutely! Just found Flyford Flavel. :)

If my great, geat uncle Pharaoh can be enumerated as Sarah, then it just goes to show.... Dontcha just love accents. :D
Oh how brilliant are you, thank you, I can now not have 'Flivered' going round in my brain :D:D Try saying Flyford Flavel after a glass or two, Flivered is the state you would be in :rolleyes:

Yeah, well, of course I didn't do the obvious did I :sceptical: How many times have I looked for places using Genuki or asked Wiki for place names beginning with whatever - for other people. When I come to doing it for myself, logic goes out the window :rolleyes: Thanks again {-(^^)-}
