Belated New year greetings to everyone.

I am looking for the name of the specific church where my grandparents were married.
My Grandfather was Charles Clegg b 1869 - d1969, Grandmother was Kate (Olivent) b 1870 - d1937.
They were married in 1894 in Gleadless, Sheffield.
There are a few churches in the area. My Grandmother was the housekeeper for the vicar at that time.

Thank you and kind regards.

The marriage certificate is on FMP and says that it was at the Parish Church on 19th November 1894.

He was a 25-year-old Banksman, his father William also being a Banksman
Interestingly, there is no father listed for Kate, aged 24

Church dedicated as Christ Church (Gleadless).

The vicar was Cyril Thomas Crossland, presumably your grandmother's employer. Your grandparents obviously held Rev. Crossland in high regard as they attended his funeral in 1923. (Penistone, Stocksbridge & Hoyland Express, 29 Dec 1923).

Thank you for clarification in your informative reply, most appreciated. Yes, the high regard referred to was reciprocated by Rev. Crossland.
When my Grandparents were married Rev. Crossland gave them a grandfather clock, in reconition of Kate's employment with him.

I have a further query regarding my grandfather regarding his church connection and German POW's, which I will post as a separate enquiry.
Thank you for your assistance and kind regards.

Thank you for the further information, most helpful. I too have not found the father of Kate, only her mother Elizabeth.

I think I have Kate's father:
George Olivent, Born 1812, Marriage 17 Feb 1845, in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.
Spouse Sarah Hoult, Children from this marriage, Kate.
Deceased 1874. Thank you for your assistance
