What's in a name?

Sometimes we oldies have a job keeping up with modern terminology - acronyms, text speak, jargon and abbreviations. Forum terms are also changing and moving on.

We started a thread and posts were added. Now it is a discussion and has messages added.
We sent someone a PM. Now we start a conversation with a participant.

The Forums are now categories and the sub forums are the new forums or boards. Changing our settings is now choosing our preferences.

Subscribing to a thread can also be watching a discussion,
We can follow a member instead of choosing them as a contact and we can have a News Feed to see what they are up to.

New Posts are Alerts, Thanks are Likes
and does anyone know what the kettle is now called because I cannot find it anywhere?

..... then of course, we can now have a Status, which was a Profile and is now within Personal Details and will be found in your Settings which you can edit from Alerts!

..... And if you are very good Admin will grant you a signature to sign off your posts and a slogan can also be added to it.

..... You cannot create a tag-line, (the title added to your user name)
that's also the job of Admin.

..... Signatures and tag-lines will only be awarded upon the recommendation to Admin from a Moderator.

Who's Online has changed to Current Visitors.
How do I find them?

You hover your mouse to the right of the word 'Members' on the top green bar, that's where they be.

Mutters...I hovered all over that green bar and didn't see anyone. OTOH, it is midnight here and 5 am over there so perhaps there is NO ONE on line, lol

Same with me Heather until I accidentley moved mouse to bottom right corner of that 'members' area.

Figgs, if you hover your mouse between the words 'Members' and 'Help' you should get a little dropdown menu like this
