Hello everyone, thanks for letting me join you, I have "met" some of you before on other forums and I already know how wonderfully helpful you all are, so a big thanks in advance when I ask you my tricky questions!

Hi Julie! It is a bit like a bear garden at the mo with everyone chatting nineteen to the dozen. But the members will soon be ready to get stuck in. Have a feel around, and get posting.:D

Nope - an English idiom which has its origins in the Elizabethan Bear Garden on the banks of the River Thames in England: a structure where bears were made to fight with dogs for the entertainment of a crowd of noisy spectators. A bear garden is a place full of noisy people who are behaving boisterously. Yesterday everyone was so excited to meet up the noise was deafening!:rolleyes:
 
So...it is the same as a beer garden... Boisterous and noisy. You know how I feel about animals so would prefer the beer garden to a bear garden.
