My name is in reverse but I had trouble adding my details and ended up with this (Amle), now I quite like it. I have been looking at my family history for nearly 40 years and what I like most is visiting the places connected with my ancestors. I have meet up with some lovely new cousins too. I am quite slow in what I do but I can't see a rush. I just enjoy finding out new things. I am interested in hearing about how other people are getting on and I will try and help if I can.
A new website is exciting and I hope all goes well. I wish everyone good luck
 
Welcome Amle...now you will have to tell us how to pronounce that one, lol. I tend to move slowly as well and look forward to your insights on things you have done and/or discovered.

That is a favourite auntie of mine, that died 25 years ago. How I wish I had talked to her some more about our ancestors.

I'm now fully awake & apologise to Amie for miss-spelling of her name. Have spent the afternoon lost in early 1900s websites. Did you know there are utube coverings of fashions, hairstyles with 'how to' directions?

Thank you all for the welcome. I have looked around and the cats seem to be winning! Now I feel at home. I like the other avatars too, what a range. Glad Joey is jumping over from Australia or back I am not sure. Well I know it will be a friendly site and I look forward to getting stuck in
