I am trying to work out this road in Shoreditch in 1861. Can anyone help me? Handwriting.jpg Thank you.

Have a look here without the blue spaces :) & scroll down to photos or use ctrl F & key in Fellows St.

It has a pronounced serif on the end of the cross of the 'f'... (how can you explain writing without having a pen to hand?)

Just had a look in the three alphabets I have and none of the Fs have such a large flourish to them, one is very similar but the top curve more restrained. I'm still voting for Fellows.

On the enumeration description the street name is easier to read and certainly looks like Fellows Street; also mentioned in the description are Weymouth Terrace and Pearson Street which are on the map supplied by Wendy @ #4

Image 28 0f 56 is Appleby St & image 56 is Weymouth st. both visible on above map end of & across from Fellows St. I guess we are all correct. :)

Thank you everyone. I think when I posted my heart told me it might be Fellows but for 30 or more years I had it as Pellows! It needed the experts to tell me, funny really I got quite used to Pellows but I have changed it now, thanks again and I will study the map and Fellows Court. :)
Makes me wonder what other mistakes I have made:(
