looking for information on My Grand mother she was born in 1904 and had my father in 1925 In Enniscorthy Her parents were Patrick and Mary Chapman (nee Furlong)

Have you found the family on the 1911 Irish census?
There this a family in Ballyliamgow, Inch, Wexford:-
Patrick Chapman age 48 - head - shoemaker
Mary age 48 - wife
Peter age 11 - son
Catherine age 8 -daughter
Bridget age 6 - daughter
All Roman Catholic, all born Co. Wexford

Mary and Patrick have been married for three years, with no children born.

Good morning David and welcome to Top Dog. You are up early.

Can you tell us what information you are looking for in particular. Also, it may help if you tell us what you already have.

Strange that they should say they have been married 3 years and have no children.
Looking at the 1901 census they are at Clongeen,Co Wexford with 8 children.I've checked a baptism record for Edward Chapman b.1891 who appears on the 1901 census and the mother is given as Mary Furlong and residence is Clongeen so is the right family.Peter Chapman who appears on both the 1901 and 1911 census also has a baptism with mothers name of Mary Furlong.

I have found her in the two Census its the family that MollyMay and Patten-Walsh has Mentioned I cant find anything else about her till she is mentioned on My Fathers birth certificate. and the she goes missing again. I have a Mechant navy book with My Dads mother as Johanna nothing else. so I;m having trouble tryig to work out what is the real mother.

I have discovered doing my own research, that most if my catholic ancestors were born out of wedlock. Father is mentioned if they remain a couple n later marry. Father isn't mentioned if they don't. But he could be mentioned in another register known as ??. (I forget the name now, will look up ). Each catholic church keeps a record of ones who have children out of wedlock n name the father n mother during a service. The couple basically admit their sin in front of the congregation and ask to be forgiven.

This is an example of that register copied from PRONI
