New member searching Parsons family

I see on his marriage he says his father is Robert Pearson, deceases. If as you say he was illigitimate, this was probably a fictisous name.
This may well be a mis-pronunciation of "Parson" Chimp.

My grandfather was Robert Parsons and this was the name he kept even after his adoption.
It is rumoured in the family that he was the illegitimate son of a member of the clergy or of a member of his household and a servant. It is suggested his father was Henry Parsons.

I wonder if 'Parsons' was someones little jokey way of keeping an identity secret. Particularly if the Father worked for a person of the cloth, but even those worthies have been known to have little slips. Always possible if the Mother didn't know the Father well, or was 'taken by surprise'.
He may have been conceived/born elsewhere than Penarth, or born there while Mother was there for that occasion.

Sorry to build up such a story line, but it adds to the drama before some-one finds a simple solution.
There have been a few similar cases studied on Top Dog. :)
