I am trying to connect some dots that might lead to why some chunks of DNA turn up among people whose genes SEEM to originate only from England, Scotland and Canada.

This fellow was born 25 Dec 1897 in West Ham, Essex. His Army enrolment says he was a Driver for the Royal Field Artillery and I can read "Poland" as one of the places he was posted. Then I came across this POW index card:

Now, with new lots of distant cousins coming into play I have oodles of names to delve into, trying to find the connections.
Seems everyone is from the USA lately [ 5th - 8th cousins].
