Hereford Times 29th November 1834
At a numerous meeting of the Inhabitant Rate-payers the Town and Borough of Knighton, held in Vestry short time ago, conformably with a requisition forwarded to the Churchwarden and Overseer, was unanimously resolved to adopt that part of the General Improvement Act, passed in the 2nd and 3rd year of his present Majesty, as relates to the lighting and watching of towns.
