Any long-established companies in that area, I wonder, that could give us a further clue? I've tried a couple of links but they can't be found, which is always the way.
It's south London just south of the Thames and there were quite a number of large food manufacturers in the area. For example, Peak Freans biscuits were made nearby and Hartleys jam making factory (just a 10 minute walk from Date Street) was the largest one of its kind in the country.Lots of opportunities to label whatever she was labelling.
