This looks like it says Rev’d George ..not sure of the next words....it’s being sold in Cornwall...but folk move about...obviously when he was a boy and it appears to be painted on laid paper....which is going to put him 1780/1790 I’m thinking....his clothing also indicates that date.

So.... is anyone able to work out what it says about this chap?

I know what I can see after George, but even that keeps changing!

There is (the Reverend) George Mallory (clerk) in the Poll Books for Mobberley Cheshire, in 1834 and 1836 living in the Mobberley Rectory

There's quite a few mentions of him in the papers and notices of his children's marriages and deaths. This is his marriage from the Oxford University and City Herald of the 9th June 1810
