Any ideas on Ann's father's name and surname please?

It's a baptism of 1755. I know what I want it to read and what it has been transcribed as on FMP, but I'm not so sure. The second image is a snip out of the first image.

Augst. 3 Ann Daughter of Richard Cole gent was baptized
but I'm not sure if the 'gent' is right, or if it is part of the surname.....

I don't know if the last letter looks like an "h"? I looked at the "h" on some of the words and it looks the same. Or is that just my eyes......
