Arthur Moore

I recently found a photo my late dad took probably b4 he left for WW2 1943 outside Liverpool terraced houses. He made notes saying Uncle Arthur Aunt Nel children are Enid (looks 2b abt 10) Harold (looks 2b abt 7) and 6mth old baby in a pram not named wrote Deaf and Dumb?
My father's uncle was Thomas Moore but was always known as Arthur. This photo is not him but could be his son Arthur b1913. I found an Enid born 1932 to a Thomas Moore mother Nellie Kathleen Coyle also Miller and was so sure this was the correct family. So I bought their marriage cert and his father is recorded as Uriah so prob not the correct family.
Arthur dad's cousin was 11yrs older so why would he write Uncle Arthur? ..
No Arthur on his maternal side and this Arthur looks exactly like my dad's uncle John who was killed in WW1 so def a Moore. Any help would be appreciated

Around here there were a lot of Nellies, mostly Helen or Ellen.

Do you know whereabouts in Liverpool the photo was taken?

If we know your dads name, when and where born we may be able to work out who fits where.
The only Enid Moore I have found born in 1932 was born in Saddlesworth to I think Albert Moore and Hannah Gartside. They married in Saddlesworth in 1923. Saddlesworth being on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire.

This just provoked a memory. I had an Aunt Betty. Birthday cards were always signed, "Love from Aunt Betty..."
However, she was a first cousin! I can only assume that because she was much older than myself, Dad being the youngest of seven, that she felt more comfortable with me calling her 'auntie'. Even now, I can't think of her as being anything other than my aunt! Strange. Dad even reminded her that she wasn't my aunt, at my wedding, but the Christmas cards continued from 'Aunt Betty'... So, perhaps it wasn't unusual?

Bayhorse .. prob West Derby rather than Liverpool .. that Evelyn has parents Thomas and Nellie and I bought their marriage cert and it is the wrong family but thanks for helping
Archie's Mum .. thanks for help
My father was Stanley Thomas Moore b1924
son of George Moore who was the brother to Thomas Moore who was always called Arthur he married Mary Fazackerley c1911 and they had a son called Arthur b1913
Apologies am using my Samsung phone and not at home going from memory and when I tried to reply I did not get it right.

i have been looking at the 1939 register and there are 5 results for Ellen/Nellie with births ranging from 1890 to 1923 with a Thomas in the family.

Looking for him on the 1939 register finds him living in the household of John Sawyer at 64 Dallas Road, Lancaster, Lancashire.

Arthur Moore, 02 Feb 1913, Male, Single, Finishing Collector

Sorry Hilda, I found the Fazackerley family yesterday, with another son Ronald, b. 1915- West Derby. After a llot of keyingabout to find marriage etc. I had to stop & do other things. later in the day I deleted it all.

I forgot, 1921 census has a Thomas, Mary, Arthur & Ronald in Bootle.

Wouldn't this rule out the Arthur in the photo c1943 with 10 year old Enid? Unless it is him and the photo is way after 1943.

To Chimp Bayhorse Archie's Mum
Super thanks for all your help
There were 2 daughters 1 Margaret never married the other Eliza did not hv a child called Arthur and def did not live in what looks like Bootle
Doubt it was post war cos my dad only came back in 1948 with my Mum. The lady's dress looks 2b early to mid 40's.
When I found the wrong family I thought could this be a bigamist family .. but as I said father Thomas aka Arthur is with his wife and mil. The family would not hv had anything to do with a bigamist.
The other son Ronald married and had children but no names match the photo.
How I wish I had known of this photo to ask my Dad 25years ago.
