The one I am working on now is I am desperately trying to find Arthur White Love who was born in the highlands of Scotland in 1802 and married Jean Douglas in Barony, Lanark, Scotland Aug 19, 1821.

Firstly Julie, have you looked on Famiy search? They mention Arthur's marriage & several censuses, some of which have images ie. but they seem to be in USA
Did he go to Alleghany? He is on 1870 census as a firemman on R.R.
Ancestry has 1841 1851 1861 & poss crew & immigration listings.
Can you tell us what you DO know so that we don't double up please?

I apologize, today is really the first time in 13 years I have really asked for help and I did not realize so many would be so helpful and so was not specific like i should have been. What I need is Anything on his dad John Love. ione tree sd he was born 18 May 1766 in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, Scotland but had no sources. I have been unable to find any documentation

No probs Julie, you've now sorted that out. Have you tried Scotland's people?
I don't have credits just now, but a search found 3 matches for 1766 & 5 for 1765-1767 all parishes. One entry for Rutherglen..
As you probably know F.S has one Bap. for a John 1765 Barony, & One in 1765 Glasgow plus two for 1766 in Glasgow. may well be worth buying some credits if you don't have.

I dont think I have ever been to that site.. You have to buy credits? Cn you just get a membership? Ill look into it

You can do 'either or' Julie, I let my membership lapse when I ran out of local Family in Scotland but buy credits from time to time when a new query pops up. They explain how it works & how much for how many searches.
