My apologies for not introducing myself having already posted on the Forum.
This is the first time I've joined a forum, I have to thank Daft Bat (Jan) lovely lady who I met at Weston Super mare at the SWAG, we are one of a kind, both can waffle.
My interests are Smith & Hooper in the Cotswold & Gloucestershire area, Clark & Clarke from Christchurch, Weymouth & Dorset, Emerson from Gloucestershire & also South of Birmingham. I have many more names but we will not go into that for now.
I start my Family Tree Research in 1995, so I'm still a beginner.
I'm a full World member of Ancestry.com or co.uk, so if I can help anyone please do ask, but don't send hundreds because I'm slow being an oap:).

Welcome John C|:-),

Lots of very friendly wafflers on Top Dog, so you are in very good company:)
join in where ever you want to.

Welcome John. Nice to have you aboard and my welcome is patly based on my being another oap.

Pension money doesn't seem to run to purchasing lots of certificates, however, the members here will assist to the best of their abilities and you may be able to fill in those gaps without much expenditure.

Cheers chum

Yay! Great to see you here, John! :D

'Tis fine to introduce yourself after you have posted a question and I now can see that you are finding your way round the place quite nicely.

Yes, we did have a bit of a blather together, didn't we.... ;)

Have fun on the forum and I am sure that you will receive lots of assistance.

Hi John and a warm welcome to Top Dog C|:-)
Yes we have plenty of wafflers here as you no doubt have already noticed ;)
So enjoy yourself and hope we can help with any unsolved queries you may have.

Welcome to Top Dog John, where we all like a good waffle (in amongst the more serious stuff, of course ) I'm sure you'll soon find your feet and we'll all be waffling together :)

I predict you will enjoy your sojourn into this forum and add my welcome to the others.
heh heh....only doing genealogy since 1995, eh? Sort of like us and where we live. We moved to our present town over 30 years ago and STILL are considered the new kids on the block.---Yeates

I can understand where you are coming from, I lived on & off for 66 years in one Town, move to another where some of my names on my tree died, even though my neighbours are very good, they know I'm not local because of my accent.
