In former years I spent many evenings/late nights/early mornings in the Bulls Head.
Not that I could do it now.
Getting slightly away from Genealogy but, with the History of the area in mind, I can recommend two sites that concentrate on Old Photographs/Old Memories, but which also entertain Genealogical queries for the area.
The 1st being, the Birmingham History Forum,

The 2nd, which is less well visited, being the Birmingham Forum,

and then slightly on the 'cusp' of Brum (is that grammatically correct?) is the Bromsgrove BMSGH,

They are all useful research tools.

Re accents, same here, my southern English accent is a dead giveaway, I've been in Australia nigh on 40 years, I didn't realise how English my accent still was until I heard my voice on the radio a few months back, I was quite shocked.
