Hi all.
Many names and faces from 'that other forum'. Pleased to meet with you all again, even though I've changed my name on here. Reason - I used my adopted name before and it was a bit confusing.
Still searching for meat to put on the bones of my wife's PROPERJOHNS family from Somerset and my own DEEGAN bunch, but that's a bit harder as I've got stuck in Ireland.
Hope to be of use to others as I like a challenge, when I have the time.

Hello Spanner

Welcome to Top Dog! I am glad you have found us.
8(:-)

P.S. were you orange and stripey in the Other Place?

Greetings Spanner and welcome to Top Dog.

Lovely to have you with us.

Hello Spanner and welcome to Top Dog C|:-) - back among old familiar friends and new ones.
Enjoy yourself, we're still a very friendly bunch of enthusiastic family history researchers.

Hello again Spanner and Welcome to Top Dog - you will soon be at home here with friends old and new C|:-)

Hi Spanner! I understand a spanner is what you Brits call a wrench. Are you a mechanic? ;) Anyway, watch out for the "monkey" wrench whom you will be familiar with ( he's up to his old tricks) and perhaps we can help you find those lost rellies. We all seem to have brought a lot of them with us.

Thanks for all the kind greetings.
I need to continue sorting the hundreds (thousands) of pages I have printed as references into some kind of useful order before I do much more research. My family tree software has got into a bit of a mess, so a prune and sort is required.

Meanwhile I will be looking in several times a day to see if I can help anyone else demolish a brick wall.
