I can see 2 baptisms in Lincolnshire for a Robert Tinker -
15/3/1751 Robt s/o Matt and Mary at Sutton Le Marsh -I have no idea of the geography but it doesn't look that far away from West Rasen
27/3/1749 at Rippingale s/o William and Susanna - this looks a long way from West Rasen
Are any of these names used by Robert for his children? That might be a clue.

Rachel's children: Ann & Robert (there's a surprise

Mary's children: Martha & variously Helen/Eleanor
Sutton Le Marsh to West Rasen about 40miles on today’s roads
Rippingale to West Rasen about 50miles on today’s roads
Matt & Mary seem the most likely, but I won't rule out either at the moment, my rellies appear to travel around alot, Grandad was born in Legsby near West Rasen and ended up getting married and living in Kirton south of Boston

I have a bit of an anomaly,
Robert Tinker baptism in 1746, Cantley, Yorkshire (West Riding), England, Parents Residence Brampton.
Quite clear on the original, however, Brampton on the map is north of the Lake District, that's a long way for 5 couples to travel for a baptism.
There is a village near to Cantley called Branton, do you think the Rev could have made a mistake, or misunderstood a Yorkshire accent?

Short answer: yes - ish
Longer answer: spellings changed over the years. The mp combination often changed to n as accents developed and more people learned to read and write. It might be worth seeing if you can find a map of the area set in the 1740s/50s.
