Codes to create Smilies on mobile devices

For those people with mobile devices who are unable to access the smilies, here are the BB codes and what they produce.

For example to produce :) enter colon, close bracket, like so : ) (I have had to leave a space between the : and ) to get this to show but you should not)
Therefore : ) (without the space) will give you :)

Note: you should enter the required characters without any spaces between, for them to work correctly.

I have had to put more than one space in some of the codes to get them to show. You need to enter them with NO spaces at all :)
 
I wonder if there are any others like me out there who would prefer, if circumstances allowed, not to have a mobile at all? I only have mine because my husband needs to know he can contact me at any time, but I only use the cursed thing to make and receive phone calls and to (EXTREMELY reluctantly, and only ever as a last resort) send text messages?

If you want to show the code without showing what the code produces, you could do this

Ditto here, never felt the need to be at some-one elses beck & call other than he who is right by my side. Oh yes, well he does have one, usually elsewhere & run down, needing a charge. now why does that sound familiar?
 
Terry, sorry for my post before. I just realised what it must look like. You have done a darned good job and I'm sure most of the members here will appreciate it. Forget the old fossils like me, I just got a wee bit carried away. :oops:
 
Don't apologise Philippa, as you can see from my update (thanks to Peter) we all learn something new every day. Only trouble is when I learn something new something old has to go to make room for it. Usually, where I've put my keys :rolleyes:
 
Good job with the smilie codes Terry and brilliant news about winning the £49 8(:-) - hope it won't be drinks all round :p
