Confused Myself

I think I may have confused my self with all the threads I have going at the moment. I know they are all connected in some way or another but I found myself typing something into one of them and part way through realising I was in the wrong thread.

Is there anyway to keep track of things easily both here and in general family history research?

'Tis easily done.

If you are wanting to post something on a particular thread and you are unsure as to which one, click on the search box in the top right-hand corner of the page and a drop-down box will appear:



Pop a key word such as a surname in the search box and start to type your name in the "posted by Member" box. Your name will appear underneath and you can click on that for it to appear in the box. Then click on the search button.

All of your posts with that search word in that you have posted will appear and so you can choose whichever you want to.

It was fine in General Chatter, but have moved it to "Finding your way and Rules" as it may help others who are looking for this answer.

Your not alone we all get muddled at times
I made mistake of doing mine and hubbies tree together!!
Can be confusing for all
I do keep separate files for all families both computer and written
As I have been doing all kids other halves as well large shelves are needed
Now in process of trying to make files usable for family.

@Sandiep yes I need to organise my files better. My layout is not that great, been told by family history people that it's confusing to read
