Cyber event at the British Library

A friend has just passed this on to me.

"We're experiencing a major technology outage as a result of a cyber-attack. Following confirmation that this was a ransomware attack, we're aware that some data has been leaked. If you have a British Library login with a password that you use elsewhere, you should change it on other sites as a precautionary measure."

do you think that will effect the FINDMYPAST site as they use british library papers

The message on the BL web site says that it is internal HR data (i.e. employee data not customer data) which has been compromised.
Even if BL and FMP use the same copy of the digitised newspaper database to service queries it should not affect FMP as the two access "doorways" are separate from each other.
