Would really appreciate some help understanding Danish records and name giving. Particularly as the name I am researcnhing is Jensen. ( the equivilent of British Smith)

I know nothing about Danish research, but there seem to be quite a few web sites which might help. One which looks promising is
mydanishroots.com/ (put www. in front)
