Can anyone tell me if there is a way to tag records in a search and export them? I cannot restrict my search for Suters to, say, Lyminster in Sussex, I get lots of other Sussex places. I can export the results 75 records at a time to Excel, but that means I then have to weed out the ones I don't want. I'm sure I used to be able to whizz down tagging the ones for export but can't seem to find a way.

I'd rather not export 2000 odd 75 at a time.

I don't know if it helps Sue, but when I use FamilySearch, I enter the surname I am after, then use the boxes to restrict the search to England (or wherever) and the county, then put the name of a parish in the birthplace, marriage or burial place box (individually, don't search all three at once) and tick the box next to the parish name to make sure that's all I'm getting, and then search. It's worked when I've done that, but although it doesn't solve the problem of tagging entries, it does just bring up the relevant entries to a parish.

Hope that makes sense o_O

Ah I reckon that because I am ticking 'any' for the records its returning masses and then Im not ticking the box next to location. Thanks Ann will give it a go.

Ok that's exactly it Ann, I didn't tick the location box. I was filling in name, then 'any' then location and then got thousands. Thank you so much. xxx
