Fustian What?

Charles COCKCROFT is living with his family at Calder Bank, Erringden, Todmorden in the 1891 census:
Piece 3543, folio 139, page 19.

His father is a Fustian Cutter and Charles, at the age of 13, is also doing something with fustian - but what?

The word to me looks like Keper (keeper spelled wrong?) but I have no idea what one would be.

All ideas appreciated.

could it be Shaper (spelt Sheper)? or even Dresser if the 'p' is a long and short 's', though the 'Dr' is strangely formed ..

Perhaps Keper is correct. Dictionary has keper as a twill, crossed weaving pattern. Charles may have been a twill chevron weaver.
