Just checking in and foraging around to find what is what. Rather impressive so far. Not quite sure where this will end up so thought I would just say hello and then go find it.

Btw, I see under "other places" or whatever, you mention the US but not Canada. I removed my thoughts on being lumped in with the US, lol.

Thank you all!! This is a big learning curve for me, cuz you know how I Love (cough) forums. I did see North America.......no, think it was the Septic Tanks, Doug. Didn't see Canada so will hunt for that.

Oddly enough, I rarely search my Canadian tree. Dad did all of the Scots and Brits arriving in 1820 as founding fathers in PEI.....my mother's side is easy. Swackhamers here but known as "Pennsylvania Dutch" (Deutsch). Did have a tree at one time and it went back to Deutschland in the 1500's. Her father is a mystery cuz his birth was never registered. I think he was "sort of adopted" by an Irish family. His only sibling is 10 yrs younger. No one ever talked about him, but I do remember him and he died when I was a YEAR OLD!! Genetic memory?

Anyway all sorts of brickwalls and hidden pasts to finally solve. And what better place than here!!

Oops, I am rambling, lol. Must find how to change the print.....looks like I did, maybe
