Thank You, Arthur! I honestly do not know where Perthshire is located at. I haven't done much in depth research on Campbell Ancestors just yet. I will check to see if I have any locations on any of them and will let you know. It would be great to find a common connection with an Ancestor so we can compare our finds!Hi, and welcome aboard
I have Campbells from Perthshire - might that match any of yours?
Hello MollyMay! I just noticed that you are located in Middlesex, England. One of my Ancestors was baptized in Middlesex in 1632. His last name was "Strother." Would you happen to be familiar with anyone that carries that surname?Hello and Welcome![]()

It is not a name I am familiar with, and may well have evolved in the centuries that follow - Anstruthers comes to mind, not that I have anyone with that name either.Hello MollyMay! Hi there.
I have numerous Browns from Warwickshire in England. That is a really widespread surname here, though.
Thank You!Welcome to the forum MSWarrior79.
Oh okay; I am slowly getting familiar with the different geographical locations and/or countries. Unfortunately, this was something that was never taught when I was going to school! With that being said, some of my Maternal Ancestors came from Canada. I know one of them a long distant grandfather was an escaped slave from Canada.Welcome MSWarrior79 from above the 49th.. actually where I am located is just south of the 49th, but in Canada anyway!
Where I live is the northern most point of the underground railroad... If I can help with your maternal side let me know.Oh okay; I am slowly getting familiar with the different geographical locations and/or countries. PS.. the 49th parallel is the line most of the Canada/US border follows.!!! It ( the border) does dip down in southern Ontario with the 49th being just about an hour north of where I live!Where I live is the northern most point of the underground railroad... Thanks for clearing that up. Often heard it mentioned but had no idea what it was all about.PS.. the 49th parallel is the line most of the Canada/US border follows.!!! It ( the border) does dip down in southern Ontario with the 49th being just about an hour north of where I live!
Oh no, I hate to hear that you pretty much gave up. I know doing Genealogy Research can be so time consuming and sometimes it feels like you're beating your head up against a brick wall; well, for me at least it has because I do not have any family members that are willing or interested in helping with any part of my research.OK, I'll wait to hear when you're ready. And although I've got some way with my Campbells, there's a lot that I don't know, and I eventually reached a point where there were so many with the same name that I more or less gave up.
Anyway, there's quite a lot of expertise here about various bits of the UK, so if you need any pointers, just ask. And for a bit of self-help on Perthshire, this would be a good place to start:
