Thank You, Arthur! I honestly do not know where Perthshire is located at. I haven't done much in depth research on Campbell Ancestors just yet. I will check to see if I have any locations on any of them and will let you know. It would be great to find a common connection with an Ancestor so we can compare our finds! :)
 
OK, I'll wait to hear when you're ready. And although I've got some way with my Campbells, there's a lot that I don't know, and I eventually reached a point where there were so many with the same name that I more or less gave up.

Anyway, there's quite a lot of expertise here about various bits of the UK, so if you need any pointers, just ask. And for a bit of self-help on Perthshire, this would be a good place to start:

It is not a name I am familiar with, and may well have evolved in the centuries that follow - Anstruthers comes to mind, not that I have anyone with that name either.

Hello! It is possible. I never knew my Biological Father so, therefore, it is making it difficult for me to research my Paternal Ancestors (Brown). I was extremely close to my Paternal Grandmother, however she wasn't able to give me any information in regards to my Bio Father and/or my Brown Lineage. When my mother was married to my Bio Father we lived in Mississippi at the time and my Paternal Grandparents lived in my hometown in Arkansas (my mother left my Bio Father while he was at work one day because he was extremely abusive; I was only 5 months old at the time so I have absolutely no recollection/memory of him whatsoever; I am the youngest of 4 kids). When I was on up in age (probably 11-13, give or take), I became very close to my Paternal Grandmother. She did not have a good home life with my Paternal Grandfather at all. She didn't know anything at all about my Bio Father; there was no contact or any type of communication between them once he left Arkansas. So, I only know back to my 2nd Great Grandfather (Paternal side). I've been able to find much more information out on my Paternal Grandmother's side though and I know that some of her Ancestors came from various areas of England.

Oh okay; I am slowly getting familiar with the different geographical locations and/or countries. Unfortunately, this was something that was never taught when I was going to school! With that being said, some of my Maternal Ancestors came from Canada. I know one of them a long distant grandfather was an escaped slave from Canada.

Oh no, I hate to hear that you pretty much gave up. I know doing Genealogy Research can be so time consuming and sometimes it feels like you're beating your head up against a brick wall; well, for me at least it has because I do not have any family members that are willing or interested in helping with any part of my research.

I did have a brief conversation earlier this evening and she did confirm that my Maternal Grandfather's family did originate and migrated from England. I had a lot done on my family tree on Ancestry.com but I just deleted my whole tree a couple of weeks ago because things were getting changed (because of a mutual relative making changes to his/her tree and then it changed on mine as well. Unfortunately, two of the changes that were made were actually incorrect and it completely messed my entire tree up so I said forget it and deleted the whole tree.

I am just now starting on a new family tree from scratch and I will be much more careful about my privacy settings, who I connect with, and/or who my tree is linked to. Once I get back a few generations, I will let you know what exactly I find out that may be helpful to you by some chance.
