Hello,

I am Jan, but also answer to Daft Bat and am also one of the Administrators here on Genealogy Specialists.

I was a horrible hyper-active child - without the benefits of E-numbers - and hardly slept. We lived with my Gran who tried to keep me amused with stories of her brothers and sisters. As she was one of thirteen children, you can imagine that there were lots of stories to tell.

So, I have been hooked on Family History since I was small and never tire of discovering new things about my ancestors.

I am so glad that you have decided to join us and hope that you will enjoy the forum.

Nope, I am so laid back I am almost horizontal.... well, I do sometimes get a bit antsy if I am not doing something.......

I got so involved in finding my way around yesterday, that I forgot I was going to reply to you Jan! It really is lovely to be back amongst the old gang, so many thanks to you and Doug for all your hard work in setting this smashing site up. I see that you have had a makeover and now look awfully like Henry.........

I still get totally wrapped up in various forums etc, I forget I'm meant to be elsewhere, or just have to dash away for a sec. then an email arrives & oh well you all know how it is.Won;t even mention phone calls.

Does anyone have any spare hours in the day I could borrow.

Don't worry, Joan. Have read of the two stickies at the top of this forum and, if you still need some guidance, just ask.

I am sorry, but I am already using my 25 hours each day, not to mention my 8 days each week....
