I have been working on my family tree for 10 years. They came from Prussia to Birmingham, Warwickshire around 1866 and then immigrated to New York in 1880. Their names were Simon and Theresa Asher Cohen. I have all the census and immigration records. I also have a very large BAUM family (known for the Sheffield Plating Company) (Simon Cohen's grandmother was Nettie Baum 1820-1900?) I will be glad to help anyone is looking up obits from the New York Times Archives. I am excited about this new forum!

Welcome, Andrea! C|:-) I was looking at newspaper archives in 1860's San Francisco today. Isn't online research wonderful? This is a great place to find those missing pieces and make new friends. :)
