Hey Everyone!

Stumbled across your site while Googling for something else :)

I've been researching my family history for at least 10+ years but have hit a few brick walls and everyone here seems to helpful!

My dad's side is mostly the Yorkshire West area with some Scotland and American thrown in there. My mum's side is a mixture of everything - Poland, Germany, England, Scotland, Ireland, also some American and debating Italy right now (she and my aunt claim Italian - I've not found anything to substantiate that claim as of yet)

Ooh. Where in West Yorkshire have you been researching to date? My maternal side are from Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford and thereabouts. :)

My dad's paternal side - Batley, Huddersfield, Hertfordshire, Dewsbury, Wakefield are the ones I can remember off the top of my head right now.

My dad's maternal side - started in Kircudbright and ended up in Horbury. There may be more on this side, but have spent more time on my granddad's side.

Welcome Ambern... We are low on Canadian blood here so really glad you have joined. On your profile can you please tell us at least what province you are from. Don't forget we live in a big country compared to those folks in England and if you are in Saskatchewan you may not know someone in Newfoundland!!
