Hello everyone,

I found your interesting site by accident whilst trying to find information on the smallpox epidemic in London in 1881, with relation to my Grandfathers Parents.

I have spent the past couple of years going round in circles, trying to find information on my ancestors. I seem to be able to get so far....then just as I think, "Yay, I have found something :)", the sites then want loads'a'money :( if I want to view the information. I am hoping that some of you lovely people may be able to help me, or point me in the right direction, without having to spend a fortune.

Hi there. I am a new member, only joined a few days ago and still finding my way round, mainly what buttons to press or not to press on my computor. I've never been on facebook and still have to learn what to press to get the amusing symbols up! Welcome aboard. The response I've had has been fantastic and the help and advice invaluable. I moved from Alton, Hampshire two years ago, having lived there for nearly thirty years. Life is a lot quieter in rural Cornwall. I now have time to delve into the past. Good luck with your search.

I can't believe I have got here before Daft Bat .... Have you checked your local library. They may well have Ancestry and FindMyPast free.:)

Hi there. I probably pressed the wrong buttons and sent a welcome message to myself.:confused: I am a new member and only discovered this web site a week ago. The team that have been researching into my family history have been fantastic.
