Hi LA.....have you also had a look at the various Canadian Maritime genealogy groups on Facebook?? I belong to 2 or 3 for PEI and they are incredibly helpful!! Plus a lot of Maritimers ended up in the US over the decades, as your family did. I am in Toronto.....first generation born OFF the Island.

My ancestors were from England and Scotland (and Germany and many other spots) but the folks on here will help you find yours. Ireland can be a bit spotty I understand.

Welcome! I have an Irish gr. grandfather who ended up in Wentworth as well. Hard to trace back in Ireland.

Yes, I've heard Ireland can be tough. I haven't really done alot of searching there as but have plenty of Irish to hunt for ;) I'm in a very long list of FB groups myself, some can be very helpful, others....... ;)
