Hi,

I just joined and here I am introducing myself. I'm Kevin. I live in Leigh, Lancashire, but I'm originally from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, in the UK.

My first forays into genealogy were at the request of my wife's Grandad, who has now passed away, as he wanted to know more about his family. That was about 2 years ago, and so until very recently I had done quite a bit of research into my wife's family, and none into my own. I have started looking into my own but I'm not getting very far at all. Onwards and upwards though.

It's good to be here, and I hope I can become a useful member of this community, and maybe get a bit of help here and there :)

Could I ask that you pop into your profile and add a location. I know that you have told us in this thread but when you move to another thread or ask for advice we will need to know where you are from, that way we won't send you off to Kew looking for information.
