Hello , my name is Brian Cashmore from Stoke on trent and I'm doing the Cashmore family tree. So if anyone has a Cashmore in there family tree I would love to hear from you.

Hi Brian and welcome. No Cashmores in my tree but I noticed that William Thomas Cashmore, then aged 35, was one of the miners remembered at a memorial service held last Sunday at Holy Trinity Burslem. They had ignored a superstition about working on New Years Day 1942 in order to help the war effort, but tragically 57 died in an underground explosion. They are also remembered on a memorial in Burslem town centre.
