I had a lot of family in and around Cleator Moor, still working on them now. Many of them were farming families from rural places like the Buttermere valley, but they moved to where they could find work - ie, the coal/iron ore mines. Looking forward to hearing about your family tree journey.

That part of Cumberland is really well served by the digitisation of old newspapers like the Whitehaven News, Cumberland Paquet etc - so a lot of info available there, births deaths and marriages, etc.

Lincolnshire is also a beautiful place - such friendly people there.
