I'm Steve Bumstead and I joined yesterday. I've been attempting to track my ancestors (digging up dead people as my wife calls it) for over 30 years with mixed success. I've been energised by the remarkable amounts if data now appearing on the internet in the last few years and have managed to push back several lines I thought had come to an end as far as research goes.

Most of my families are centred on Bristol and North Somerset/South Glos., but I have my main paternal line hailing from Suffolk and another from Oxfordshire. There's also a little bit of Devon and one or two distant ancestors from the Celtic fringe.

Hiya Steve and welcome to 'the family'. As Molly says above we all like 'digging up dead people' so you're amongst friends here. We might be slightly bonkers, go off chatting on different tangents but we also like a good challenge so post your queries and we'll see what we can do.C|:-)

My family also say I'm only interested in 'dead people' - at least they can't answer back but cause mischief by hiding where I can't find them!
