Not great on south coast jurisdictions, but it used to be part of Hampshire. Is it still? Are its records still listed with Hants?

It's a county and unitary authority in its own right now. Sorry, I don't know about records

Do you have any idea of where- on the Isleof Wight, your family had their home? I have 26 family members who have BMDs there at least 3 different places. (no Fosters) :(

What do you mean by BMDs - i have no idea where on the Isle of Wight the property was. We have the clue from our ancestor Samuel Foster son Samuel Foster Jr. I'll attach it. At this time we were living on the Isle of Wight which is claimed to be the most picturesque Island in the world. Possibly it could of been a family owned property on the Isle of Wight. Anything Foster?

@Foster it would be virtually impossible to find where they lived on the Isle of Wight without more information. They may have rented a property rather than own one. You could join the IOW Family History Society. Though there's no guarantee that they can help.

B.births-D.deaths.-M.marriages.
My people were either born there or died there. Not sure of any marriages there. Have a look at a map of the Isle of Wight to get an idea of places.
